Pat Jennings made his debut for Watford having been recently signed from Irish League side Newry Town.
This was the third and final time we’d play at the White City Stadium. QPR first moved there from Loftus Road for two seasons in the 1930’s and tried again to make it their home in 1962 to increase revenue as its capacity was over 90,000. However the crowds didn’t increase, this game for instance only attracting 5,052, so once again they returned to Loftus Road at the beginning of the following season.
