BBC-SPORT-_-Football-_-Championship-_-Watford-2-2-BlackpoolDownload Watford twice threw away the lead against Blackpool on Saturday as they were held to a 2-2 draw. After a relatively quiet start, a really tremendous game of Championship football, culminating in a breathless, nerve-wracking final twenty minutes of end-to-end mayhem. None of which should distract the coaching staff from taking a clear, sober look at the reasons why we didn’t win it…and that isn’t to ignore the part played by an enterprising Blackpool side with chances a-plenty, merely to recall that there was a point when it looked like we were going to put them to the sword. I left Vicarage Road both disappointed and satisfied all at the same time. It’s one of those weird feelings you can have as a football fan. Let’s get the disappointment out the way first. It came from the final score line – Watford 2-2 Blackpool. With Watford going a head twice in the game we gifted Blackpool their goals. 12th September 2009-Championship, Watford 1 Barnsley 0 Share this:TwitterFacebook

14th October 2000- New Division One, Watford 3 Queens Park Rangers 1 Leave a Reply BSAD report: Saturday was great in every respect. Hell, even the second half tannoy announcement that trains were going no further south than Harrow proved to be insignificant – by the time I’d fortified myself for a nightmare journey with a suitable amount of Guinness, everything was running smoothly. And I have to mention the Irish Hornets, Pat and Joe, whose post-match contribution to the laughter and merriment and plain old happiness was second only to that of the team. It was a “top of the world, top of the league” sort of day. The kind that leaves you a million miles away from the drudgery and irritation of the working week, that feels like a very welcome holiday. http://watford.fcdb.info?s=31642&id=4415 Share this:TwitterFacebook
