BHappy image If there’s a positive to be drawn it’s that we didn’t collapse. Despite being clearly second best we were still in the game throughout in the sense that a single goal would have nicked us something.

BHappy image Quite how the game would have panned out but for the penalty we’ll never know.  One possibility of course is that we’d have capitalised further on this extraordinary start, or that Leicester would have come back at us and, on failing to break through, overcommitted leaving us holes to exploit.

screen-shot-2016-10-03-at-19-13-20No sooner had we taken our seats after kick-off but we were out of them again as Capoue opened the scoring after Pereyra had broken forward and delivered a cross that was knocked down by Deeney for the Frenchman to hit home.  All of a sudden the cobwebs were swept away, the horror of Liverpool was forgotten and football was fun again.

screen-shot-2016-10-30-at-15-22-53 Prior to kick off, Leicester City kindly gave each of the travelling supporters a free hat.

screen-shot-2016-11-25-at-17-02-07 While walking to the station the Leicester fans were trying to salvage what they could. “Does anyone know if Watford have played in Europe?” I piped up behind them, “Yes, getting to the third round of the UEFA Cup, 1983-84.”
