20th March 1985- Friendly, Hemel Hempstead 1 Watford 5
This game commemorated Hemel Hempstead’s centenary. Watford played less than 24 hours after beating Luton Town 3-0. Kenny Jackett, Jimmy Gilligan David Bardsley and Steve Terry took part in both games with the latter two playing the full 90 minutes of each.

We beat Crystal Palace 2-0 in the First Round but then went out to Charlton 3-1. The YouTube video shows a couple of seconds of our game with Crystal Palace.
