BBC: Two Watford substitutes scored in the final seven minutes to beat Blackburn Rovers 2-1 in the Championship.

Sky: Watford’s bench ultimately made the difference as Yaser Asprilla’s shot was parried into the path of Mileta Rajovic to equalise in the 83rd minute and, four minutes later, Rhys Healey’s second of the season secured the points for Watford, who have won four of their last six.

Fran’s Watford Blog: It is hard to think now that we went 9 months this year without an away win.  Now we have had three in a row, two in the North-West which has generally not been a happy hunting ground.  The celebrations at the end were joyous.  As soon as the final whistle went, Koné sprinted from the bench to the away end to celebrate with us.  The others joined him once the niceties with the opposition players and the officers were done.  Healey was being pushed forward for plaudits and he has certainly impressed.  His opportunities have been few and far between, but he has now twice come off the bench and scored late goals.  The team spirit is just wonderful to witness and the willingness to attack means that the games are so much more enjoyable than they were earlier in the season.

Brighton vs Watford ratings: A day to forget as Hornets suffer fourth straight Premier League loss

BBC SportPascal Gross struck the winner as Brighton earned their first Premier League victory in eight games – on the day Seagulls defender Connor Goldson played his first competitive game since heart surgery.

skyBrighton’s first goal from open play in over 10 hours of Premier League football was enough to earn a 1-0 victory against Watford at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.

guardianSleigh bells were jingling and nerves were jangling but Brighton clung on to earn three precious points. Their first win in eight games means they are now in mid-table, five points clear of the drop. It is a position that could quickly change and, once again, the narrow margin of victory did not allow for a sense of comfort to spread over the home supporters. But there were more than enough positives for fans and club alike to believe things are moving in the right direction.

FranOur last visit to Brighton was memorable for all the right reasons.  After taking the lead in the first half, the game had been a bit of a slog, before Vydra’s injury time goal sent us all away happy.  It having been the lunchtime game, we retired to a lovely pub and, after spending the preceding couple of hours in the garden anxiously checking phones, we interrupted a quiet afternoon by erupting in joy as last minute goals confirmed our promotion.

Tales from the VicarageA miserable day on the South coast just before Christmas meant Watford succumbed to their fourth consecutive defeat.

23rd December 2006- Premier League, Liverpool 2 Watford 0

Ben Foster made a series of saves to deny Liverpool in the first-half, though Watford had the best chance when Al Bangura volleyed over the bar.

Young opened the second half with an early shot that presented Reina with no problems but, within minutes, Liverpool had the goal they had so desperately sought and which their first-half possession suggested would be along sooner rather than later.

Unless Matt had something better in mind, the one word match report is: Unrepeatable.
