Fran’s Watford Blog: It is hard to read anything into pre-season friendlies as they are mostly designed to improve match fitness and to try things out. Orient were a week ahead of us in pre-season and it showed in the early exchanges as they were quicker to the ball and playing with more urgency. But the Hornets soon got into it and there were some promising signs. Of the new boys, Kjerrumgaard got into some good positions and looked like a good acquisition. Bola looked pretty solid at the back and played some lovely passes. But the man of the match was Baah who put in a tremendous performance and was a menace with his runs, reminding us how much we missed him at the end of last season.
