An industrial dispute which restricted the number of pages the paper could print in the Friday edition resulted in this special free Midweek edition being released on a Wednesday.
8th September 1969- Friendly, Folkestone Town 1 Watford 3
This was a benefit game for former Watford wing-half George Catleugh. He joined Folkestone Town from Watford in July 1965. He broke his leg playing for Watford in 1962 and his career ended when he sustained the same injury in a game for Folkestone against Barnet in 1968.
