Fanzines

Mud, Sweat & Beers was the first Watford fanzine published in 1989. Since then there have been at least 6 other titles that I’m aware of that have been produced independently of the club. One of the things that made fanzines different, interesting and great was that they didn’t have to adhere to any directive from those in charge at Vicarage Road and so could be rather more straight talking and mature in content than what you’d find in the official programme. Some of the articles are also very much of their time and maybe wouldn’t be considered appropriate for publication now.
