We beat Fulham 1-0 in the first round with Ray Train scoring our goal but then lost 1-0 to eventual winners QPR in the second round.

We beat Spurs 2-0 in the first round with goals from Dennis Booth and Steve Sims but went out to Wimbledon 2-0 in the Quarter finals.

We beat Fulham 3-2 on penalties after a Luther Blissett goal had given us a 1-1 draw. We then beat Crystal Palace 4-3 on penalties after goals from Dennis Booth and Keith Prichett had given us a 2-2 draw. We lost 3-2 to eventual winners Millwall in the semi finals with Luther Blissett scoring both for us.

To boost the numbers Leeds and Wolves were invited to take part. We beat Leeds 3-2 in the First Round with two goals from Alan Garner and one from Alan Mayes before going out 1-0 on sudden death penalties to QPR after a 1-1 draw when Dennis Bond scored for us.
