








This was the final match played in the abandoned 1939-40 Football League season. The following day Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain declared war on Germany resulting in the season being stopped after just three games.

Played on a Wednesday afternoon just before Christmas the attendance of 1,309 remains our lowest ever crowd for a League game.
