Old Watford is a day by day scrapbook style history of Watford Football Club matches told through programmes, newspapers, books, fanzines, videos and weblinks.
My Dad took me to see this, as he was from Norfolk and a Norwich fan.I was 9 years old and this was only my second ever match.
I remember the very muddy pitch and Watford hitting the crossbar at 1-1. Afterwards the Norwich fans went on the pitch to wait for the team to come out and celebrate going up to Div 1 for the first time.
Now all these years later I realise how much it meant to him. Also with us was my Grandad.. Dad and Grandad have now departed this world, but I have never forgotten this match.
